email sent to edTPA coordinators on March 21, 2014Dear edTPA Coordinators,An additional submission deadline and corresponding reporting date have been added to edtpa.com for the "English as an Additional Language" (EAL) assessment.The additional submission deadline is June 5, 2014.The corresponding reporting date is July 3, 2014.The EAL dates now appear in Schedule H on edtpa.com and have been moved from Schedule F. edTPA passing score
The Board has adopted the following policies regarding the edTPA: The student voice rubrics will not be consequential for candidates but;Candidates will continue to submit portfolios that address the student voice prompts,Vendor will continue to score student voice rubrics,Staff will return annually with student voice data,Members will consider taking action on student voice rubrics in three years.The cut score for the edTPA is 35 and will be consequential beginning January 2014.The cut score for the World Language and Classical Language edTPAs will be 30 and will be consequential beginning January 2014.

Declaration of compliance edTPA video consent forms and videotaping policy forms are due annually to the PESB office no later than October 1. If your institution has not submitted the signed form, then please make sure to get these into the PESB office as soon as possible. Declaration form.

The Board adopt the use of the scenario document as a guidance for candidates considering exiting their program with multiple endorsements. The document has scenarios for the top 5 pairings.

edTPA consequential date
The Board confirmed the edTPA consequential date would be January 2014. New WAC will be presented to the Board at their November meeting to reflect the confirmation of the consequential date. For more information on the outcomes of Tab 11 regarding the edTPA policies reviewed and adopted by the Board during the September meeting visit: edTPA policies.

Candidate access to edTPA materials

As the edTPA coordinator, your
role is to approve access requests from individuals at your institution. We
would like to remind you that the edTPA.aacte.org website
and the password-protected materials in the Resource Library and the Online
Community are designed to support faculty engagement with edTPA and to support
their implementation efforts with candidates, cooperating teachers, and other
stakeholders. Only faculty will have direct access to these materials from the
website. Please do not
provide access to the website to candidates who are completing edTPA.
