Washington ProTeach Clock Hour Information

    150 clock hours are award to teachers that pass the ProTeach PortfolioWAC 181-85-033 (5) Notwithstanding any provisions of this chapter to the contrary, teachers who achieve the professional certification through the external assessment per WAC 181-79A-206 will receive the equivalent of one hundred fifty continuing education credit hours. 
    Please note the purpose of these clock hours are for movement on district salary schedules and cannot be used for certification renewal.

    These 150 clock hours are only for those that have completed ProTeach Portfolios. Those that completed a ProCert Program are not eligible for these 150 clock hours.

    Effective September 7, 2012, ProTeach scorers will be awarded clock hours for completing scoring sessions and training.

     WAC 181-85-033 (8) Notwithstanding any provision of this chapter to the contrary, individuals who serve as scorers for the Washington ProTeach Portfolio assessment shall receive the equivalent of ten continuing education credit hours for completing one full scoring session during a calendar year, provided that an individual may not receive more than the equivalent of twenty continuing education credit hours during a calendar year period. Individuals who receive initial training as scorers for the Washington ProTeach Portfolio assessment shall receive the equivalent of ten additional continuing education credit hours.
