    Passing Scores for Washington Assessments

    The information below reflects only the minimum required passing score of each assessment. It does not include any other requirements that are needed to obtain a licensure and/or certificate to practice or teach in the state of Washington.

    • WEST-B: Results for each sub-test are reported on a scale with a range of 100-300. A scaled score of 240 represents the minimum passing score for each subtest. (Score Reports)
    • WEST-E: A scale score is 240 represents the minimum passing score for the test. Performance indices are provided for each domain of the test. These indices can help candidates understand his/her strengthens and weakness on the tests. (Score Reports)
    • ProTeach: There is a total of 12 criteria and each receives a score. The 12 scores are summed to form a composite score. Each criterion will be scored on a 4-point rubric. A passing composite score must meet or exceed 31. (Score Reports)
    • Praxis II: School counselor test (#0421) passing score is 156; School psychologist test (#0401) passing score is 165.
